Biomechanics Lab – Nipissing University Placement Details

Placement duties may include any of the following, or a combination, as available based on data collection cycles.  Projects will generally be focused on the investigation of balance, motion, and muscle activation in older adult populations.

  • Preparation (labelling) of motion capture data
  • Processing of biomechanical data (motion, force, muscle activation)
  • Literature review
  • Assisting with data collection
  • Potential for a conference presentation (optional)
  • Additional duties as agreed upon between the student and supervisor
  • Note: Onsite training in the lab will be provided, regarding specific equipment and software used for data preparation and processing
